Do I need an account?

ACCOUNT & DATA Updated August 2026

You do not have to connect everything on day one. AskMD gives helpful general guidance from your first question; creating an account and connecting your sources is what turns good answers into answers about you.

But you can create a free account to use AskMD, because everything AskMD does well depends on being yours: guidance that reflects your history and coverage, saved conversations, and your health details in one place. Signup takes a few minutes, with multi-factor authentication available to keep it secure.

At signup you will review and accept the terms of service, the privacy policy, the AskMD health data privacy notice, and an acknowledgment that AskMD uses AI and that AI can make mistakes. Verifying your identity with CLEAR, free of charge, is what unlocks the most personal features, like connecting your health records and health plan

Getting started takes minutes: verify your identity to keep your information private and protected, connect your medical records to bring your health history into context, link your health plan if you have coverage, and ask your question to get a personalized plan from your first conversation.
